Carbohydrate Addict's Diet - Day 2

Slept GREAT last night! Woke up feeling refreshed today. Had an egg-white omlette with spinach and monterey jack cheese for breakfast, and a small hamburger and roasted asparagus for lunch. YUM!  Beef is actually another one of my immune-boosting faves - without it, my iron and zinc levels are wonky!

Went to a F.I.T. class at the gym today, was good and challenging. Not ready to go back to work tomorrow...would love another 3 days off, but I suppose it's time to get back and contribute to society! Time to do some laundry and relax with the cat.

Carbohydrate Addict's - Day 1

First of all, hello! :) This is just my blog for my own thoughts and reflections as I go through my life journey in this brand-new year of 2012:)

Today I began a modified form of the ketogenic diet, know as the Carbohydrate Addict's diet. I had success with this many years ago, so I am hopeful it will work again! I work in the fashion industry, where appearance is all-important; thus my overly-tight fitting attire is not cutting it!

I began the day with a warm cup of matcha green tea (I SWEAR by this for a strong immune system) and two slices of ham. Several hours later, after a nap, I ate one hard-boiled egg. Just now finished some chicken sauteed in butter with spinach and garlic. Am feeling pretty good, so going to head off to the gym for a self-instructed spinning session. Then I will enjoy my carb hour- pumpkin soup, roasted brussels sprouts and cauliflower, tuna helper, an apple and a kiwi, and possibly a couple of pieces of Dove dark chocolate for a smile :)
